913 An Audit of Colonoscopy Compliance Within A Screening Programme for Patients with A Family History of Colorectal Cancer (CRC)

Abstract Introduction Guidelines on the management of hereditary CRC were updated in 2019 and have led to more stringent use surveillance colonoscopies. Patients with ‘family history’ (FH) Surveillance programme at York Hospitals Trust studied assess compliance colonoscopy recommendations. Method Current BSG/ACPGBI guidelines recommend biennial, quinquennial, one-off or no for patients Lynch syndrome, those deemed high, moderate, average risks developing cancer, respectively. Examination electronic records clinical notes performed determine if they positive and/or could be assigned a risk category. Results Database 227 patients, which 14 61 moderate 45 low risk. 47 had syndrome. Compliance was poor FH (both 0%). higher high (50%) syndrome (57%) Risk indeterminate 24 due inadequate data therefore not assessed. Conclusions A large proportion ‘FH’ within our current unnecessary Stratification into appropriate categories optimizes benefit from programmes.
